   Navy Wang (Managing Director)

I started my first job in Sep 1997 in Nanjing China as an inbound tour operator specialising in North America and Australian market. After 10 years handling China tours to down under, I decided it was time to move on and immigrate to the beautiful country of Australia myself and start my family and business here.

In the first 3 years, I was working for a VFR wholesale agency as the marketing specialist and then registered MW Tours in Apr 2010. I’ve never looked back and now have 15 staff helping me take Australians to my country of China, the rest of Asia, Africa, the Subcontinent & Beyond. MW Tours has grown into a true Asian & Sub-continent specialist wholesaler since it established in Apr 2010, we started selling China as the only destination specialising in Yangtze River Cruises. Later in 2010, we developed our Indochina, Japan, Korea products.

In early 2011, we started selling Taiwan as a more popular destination and in 2015 we released Philippines, India, Sri Lanka & Nepal. We launched Africa in 2017 and had a great success. We are most well-known for our annual Japan Cherry Blossom group tour and our niche products which are considered the most competitive in the marketplace.

   Ben Haigh (General Manager)

Ben started his working career as an award winning chef before joining the Travel Industry in 2003. Now-a-days Ben is an accomplished and experienced professional in the field of operational management and business improvement, with a wealth of knowledge of fast paced environments having been largely responsible for the development and growth, while being a part of the Senior & Executive Management teams, spending 9.5years with one of Australia’s leading Travel Innovators and also a short stint with one of Australia leading tech start-ups in the Automotive space.

Ben has also a lot of experience in the BPO arena and has managed teams both domestically and internationally (Fiji, New Zealand, India & Philippines) with experience in other areas such as research analysis, business reporting, change management, process automation, Work Force Optimisation and resource planning, B2B, B2C, business development and most of all Leadership. Ben’s leadership skills were strengthened with 5 years at the top flight of Australian Football as an National Youth League and A-League Referee where he officiated televised games on a regular basis.

From all of Ben’s experience, came his passion for travel, starting with Harvey World Travel Lismore as the Sales & Marketing Manager, responsible for all regional marketing activities from Coffs Harbour to Tweed Heads, and over the years travelling extensively throughout West Coast US, Hawaii, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and the South Pacific (Fiji, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Samoa and New Zealand). Working in the Travel Industry is one of the best industries you could be a part of, having the opportunity to travel whilst working, is an absolute pleasure, as not only do you get to learn and explore new cultures yourself with amazing experiences, you also get to be a part of your customers dreams day in, day out.

   David Reid (National Sales Manager)

David’s passion for travels started from the ripe old age of 3 months when he was living in West Africa, followed by the Solomon Islands, Singapore and East Kalimantan with his parents. All this childhood travel gave him his strong desire to work in the industry in which he commenced in 1987 for a luxury tour operator in the UK. Over the years he has specialised in the Product, Sales & Marketing side of the long-haul travel market and he has  been extremely fortunate to travel extensively around the globe both for business and pleasure.

David has recently held senior management positions, including Director of Sales & Marketing as well as General Manager roles and has enjoyed assisting to lead teams and brands to success under his leadership. His passion for sourcing and promoting new experiences has always been a primary driving force which he continues to this day.  Just a few of his travel highlights have included hosting Sir David Attenborough and the production team for the series “First Life” at a lodge in Far North Queensland; snowmobiling in the Arctic Circle, swimming with Humpback whales in Tonga, cage diving with Great White Sharks of the Neptune Islands, seeing the “Big Five” in the Kruger and marvelling at the temples, palaces and Great Wall in and around Beijing.

On a personal side, David is a passionate sailor and recently delivered a yacht from Adelaide to Sydney non stop in 8 days during the height of winter in the Southern Ocean with his trusty skipper. He is also a passionate foodie, developed  from his vast global travels, and enjoys going to see live music.



Business Development Managers

   Sean Flint (Business Development Manager – QLD/Nth NSW)

Sean is a well-known industry identity, with close to 30 years’ experience in senior industry roles. His ability to be able to tell the great stories of his many travels to over 60 countries and his business acumen, have lead him to running his own successful Sales and Marketing company for 10 years in the Travel Industry. Qualifying what the client wants coupled with the experience of the trip has always been a passion for Sean. Having Travelled extensively through Asia many times, and having a great affiliation for Africa, his experiences underscore a great knowledge of the history and politics of these areas. Sean’s company FTM Australia represents MW Tours in Queensland.

   Craig Hunt (Business Development Manager – VIC / TAS)

Since my first flight on an aeroplane I have been fascinated by travel. The travel to a destination, the experiences of visiting different places and the memories kept forever make travel an integral part of me. Asia was my first international destination and remains a favourite and now is always the best time to travel. The history and cultural differences excite me on every journey. Both India and Africa are fascinating. Differences in culture, wildlife experiences and meeting the people are highlights when I travel. Travel is a growth experience and I encourage all to learn and grow from the experiences that travel can offer. Travel when you can.

   Simon Langbein (Business Development Manager – SA/WA/NT)

Simon is a Travel and Tourism Industry Professional with over 25 years’ experience in the travel industry. With experience ranging from Tour Management, Operations & Sales, Aviation Sales & Account Management and International Hotel Operations and Management experience based overseas. Simon’s skills set also includes: Retail Travel, Wholesale Operations, the MICE market as well as Corporate / TMC Sales & Account Management. He is a keen sailor and has competed in three Sydney to Hobart Yacht Races with a best result finishing third in division.



Inside Sales

 Rachael Mann (Wholesale Tour Consultant)

My passion for travel came from travelling all different parts of the world when I was younger which has continued ever since. I was very fortunate in 2013 to land my first travel job with BYOjet, an online travel agency which gave me the privilege to work in different roles such as customer care, corporate sales and commercial analysis. Destinations I have visited include USA, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Noumea, Vanuatu, Philippines, France, Italy and New Zealand. What I enjoy most about this industry is that we give people all around the world the opportunity to create incredible memories through travel and that it is so much more than just commission and TTV. My next destination I wish to travel to is Vietnam!

   Tia Pai (Wholesale Tour Consultant)

Since a small child I always knew travel was for me. At 18 I entered the industry working for Disneyworld in the U.S.A for 1 year. Subsequently being brainwashed with magic, I returned home to Brisbane getting a role in reservations for a growing OTA website. After working through a variety of roles over 4.5 years from customer care to BDM I moved into the Wholesale world of travel. Doing international consulting along with domestic tours and charter hire I soon landed a role with MW Tours. My dream vacation would consist of spiritual awakenings at the Earths vortex points, but my dream destinations to travel to would be Egypt, East Africa and All of Asia!

   Angna Patel (Wholesale Tour Consultant)

Travelling has not only been something that I do, but it has been something that has become a part of me. I have a passion to travel, as each travel experience teaches me something new, and helps me to become a better person. With over five years of experience working as a Travel Consultant in Nairobi, I am excited to work for MW Tour so I can continue to share my passion with others. I am so grateful for the opportunities I have had to travel to so many beautiful and unique places such as Kenya, India, Uganda, Tanzania, Singapore, and Malaysia. My next dream destination is Hong Kong.

   Cathy Hoole (Wholesale Tour Consultant)

Travel is a huge part of my life! After completing my studies in Tourism & Events in 2014 I knew there was nothing else I wanted to do. My passion for travel began after a family trip to Europe. Since then I make sure I travel to a different destination each year.

There is nothing more exciting than planning people’s holidays and hearing about their adventures on their return. The best things about working in the Travel Industry is being able to travel to different destinations and learn all about the history & cultures around the world.

Destinations I have visited include Hong Kong, Singapore, USA, Ireland, Fiji, New Zealand, Indonesia, Thailand, Canada, Italy & England, just to name a few.  Although I have been lucky enough to travel to some amazing destinations, high on my to do list is to see the Cherry Blossoms in Japan, or to visit a Game Reserve in South Africa.

After four years as a retail agent, I’m looking forward to joining the MW Tours Team to experience travel from the wholesale side!

   Hailey Klein (Wholesale Tour Consultant)

After graduating with a Bachelor degree in tourism business, I launched my career with one of the biggest travel firms in Taiwan as an international ticketing consultant. A three years relation with this firm gave me a deep insight into the infinite possibilities of global travel by using a variety of GDS systems. It was during this time where I was given the opportunity not only to connect others with the destinations of their desire but also got myself to travel to exciting new places.

I’ve travelled to Hong Kong, Macau (nicknamed Las Vegas of Asia), Tokyo, Osaka, Bali, Boracay (a beautiful island in the Philippines), Kuala Lumpur, the North Island of New Zealand, New Caledonia, Houston-Texas and multiple places across Australia to name of few.

Migrating to Australia in 2010 and looking after our young family in regional Victoria for the following years I was finally able to start a job as a travel consultant. Once more I could provide my customers with unforgettable experiences on land and sea.

Joining the team at MW Tours in 2019 was the next logical step in my career and I am excited to begin this new chapter of my life.

   Jess Hu (VFR Consultant)

Travel is an important part of my life. My passion for travel began when I graduated from university and I spent a gap year to travel around China. It was an unforgettable experience to explore different cultures through amazing travel adventures. Destinations except China I have visited include Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Fiji and most of Australia after immigrated to this beautiful country. I am looking forward to my next trip to Italy and France. I was so lucky to start my journey in travel industry in Australia since 2014. My favourite part of working in this great industry is planning people’s vacations and making all their dreams come true.  I am fortunate to work at MW Tours as a VFR travel consultant and meeting the challenge of working complex trips for our valued customers. Travel industry is a lovely industry because it changes every day and make me keep learning every day!




   Kim Marcon (Digital Marketing Coordinator)

Travelling is in my blood. Since my first flight when I was four months old, I have been lucky enough to visit South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, England, France, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Fiji, Vanuatu, Indonesia, and Japan. With a love of flying, for me the holiday starts from the moment you get to the airport, to when you arrive back home. My favourite things to do on holiday are eat local food, wander the streets, and take photos of local dogs and cats. With over five years experience in Marketing, I am passionate about effective communication, digital marketing (it’s not just social media!), and the Oxford Comma. I also have a strong interest in research and development, which combined with a love of creating new digital and print content, makes working at MW Tours the perfect opportunity. I would love to visit Kenya (the inspiration for The Lion King!), Antarctica (penguins!), and India (sunsets over the Taj Mahal!).
