The entire country is home to stunning natural and man made sights, from the untouched northeast coast to magnificent Taroko Gorge. Day 01: Arrive Taipei (-/-/-)
Arrive in Taipei. Check in to your hotel then the rest of the day is free at your leisure.
Day 02: Taipei – Sun Moon Lake (B/-/-)
Travel to beautiful Sun Moon Lake. On the way you will stop at Puli, an area flled with culture and traditional arts. When you arrive in Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area you will take a tour to visit the Wenwu Temple, Holy Monk Shrine, and Ci En Pagoda. Enjoy the natural hot springs at your hotel.
Day 03: Sun Moon Lake – Kaohsiung (B/-/-)
Explore the historic and cultural village of Lukang. It is a centre for arts and handicrafts. You can also see examples of unique Taiwanese architecture at the Lung Shan Temple. Continue on your journey, travelling to Kaohsiung, the second largest city in Taiwan.
Day 04: Kaohsiung – Kenting – Kaohsiung (B/-/-)
Visit Kenting National Park, known for its long stretches of white sandy beaches and lush tropical forests. Many of Taiwan’s largest coral reefs are also found here. You will have time to wander amongst the natural beauty before returning to Kaohsiung for the evening.
Day 05: Kaohsiung – Taipei (B/-/-)
Take a tour of the city of Kaohsiung. Explore around the lakes and gardens, and see the beautiful seven tiered Spring and Autumn Pavilion. Stop at the Dragon Tiger Tower and the former British Consulate. The consulate is the most antique Western building preserved in Taiwan. Afterwards, continue north to Taipei for the night.
Day 06: Taipei – Hualien – Taitung (B/-/-)
Today is an early start (5:30am), travel by train to Hualien, where you will take a tour of the East Coast National Scenic Area. The area is bursting with natural beauty for you to explore, with volcanic rock formations, sandy beaches, and hidden caves. Continue to Taitung for the evening.
Day 07: Taitung – East Rift Valley – Hualien (B/-/-)
After breakfast explore the East Rift Valley National Scenic Area, including the famous Mr Brown Avenue. Continue to Hualien and check in to your hotel where you can enjoy a relaxing lagoon boat ride.
Day 08: Hualien – Taroko Gorge – Jiaoxi (B/-/-)
Travel to the famous Taroko Gorge. The majestic gorge has been carved in to the marble that is plentiful in the area. On your way to Jiaoxi you will make a few stops to enjoy the natural scenery of the Swallow Grotto, Qingshui Cliff, and more.
Day 09: Jiaoxi – Taipei (B/-/-)
On your way back to Taipei you will visit areas famous for their traditional culture and arts, beautiful orchid cultivation, and sample whiskey at the first distillery in Taiwan.
Day 10: Taipei – Pingxi – Depart Taipei (B/-/-)
Travel to Pingxi for the beautiful sky lantern experience, then wander Shifen Old Street and marvel at the waterfall. Transfer to the Airport for your onward ﬂight.
