Day 01: Arrive Phnom Penh (-/-/-)
You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel for two nights.
Day 02: Phnom Penh (B/L/D)
After breakfast, embark of a day tour of the city. Experience life as a royal at the Royal Palace, and wander through the beautiful gardens. Visit the National Museum and admire the vast collection of Khmer art, then continue to Wat Phnom. Learn about Cambodia’s history at the Tuol Sleng Museum, formerly known as Security Prison 21 during the Khmer Rouge regime. You will also visit the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, a reminder of the thousands of people buried here during the Pol Pot regime.
Day 03: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap (B/L/D)
Today you will travel by coach to Siem Reap. Explore the Roluos Group of Temples, one of the earliest representations of temples built by the Khmer. Admire the sandstone carvings, and delicate Sanskrit inscriptions. There is also an active monastery within the Temples. Enjoy delicious local cuisine for lunch and dinner.
Day 04: Siem Reap (B/L/D)
Explore famous Angkor Wat! This significant Temple is the largest and best preserved of the Angkor Temples. You will cross the vast moat, then continue through the causeway to explore the galleries and courtyards of the Temple. Admire the intricate stone carvings that decorate the walls. Then spend time wandering through Angkor Thom, another of Angkor’s most popular sites. Pass by numerous statues and terraces, until you reach the Bayon Temple. The Temple is filled with giant stone carved faces and beautiful galleries. Continue to Ta Prohm, famous for the tumbling jungle that cascades throughout the Temple. Finish your tour marvelling at the spectacular sunset from an ancient Temple.
Day 05: Siem Reap (B/L/-)
Travel to Banteay Srei, a Hindu Temple filled with beautiful filigree work. The continue to the pyramid shaped Temple of Pre Rup, before visiting the ancient Angkor ruin East Mebon. You will also see the brick towers of Prasat Kravan, and the stone basin remains of Srah Srang. Enjoy time at the Banteay Kdei Temple, and finally Ta Keo, the first Angkorian monument constructed entirely of sandstone.
Day 06: Depart Siem Reap (B/-/-)
Start your day with a boat ride to Chong Kneas Floating Village, then wander through the Psah Chah Market. Learn about local arts and crafts at Les Chantiers Ecoles, where you can watch artisans practicing stone sculpting and woodcarving. Afterwards, transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
