This is our most in depth tour of China. From the famous Giant Buddha is Leshan, to the terracotta warriors in Xi’an, and the garden towns of Suzhou, this tour has it all. You will see all the most popular attractions like walking on the Great Wall (of course we add our own extras like enjoying a sunset champagne!), down to the lesser known sights such as the limestone formations of the Stone Forest. Day 01: Arrive Beijing (-/-/-)
You will be met on arrival in Beijing and transferred to your hotel to check in for the next four nights.
Day 02: Beijing (B/L/D)
Spend the day exploring the most popular highlights of magnificent Beijing. Feast on incredible Peking Duck and be amazed by a thrilling acrobatic show.
Day 03: Beijing (B/L/D)
Break out your walking shoes! Today you will explore the Ming Tombs before walking along and enjoying sunset champagne on the famous Great Wall.
Day 04: Beijing (B/L/-)
Marvel at the wooden yet nail-less Temple of Heaven before a traditional Rickshaw ride. Learn how to make delicious dumplings then enjoy the afternoon at your own pace to explore as you wish.
Day 05: Beijing – Xi’an (B/L/D)
Relax on the high speed train to Xi’an and take in the thousands of treasures at the Provincial History Museum. Enjoy a delicious dumpling banquet and entertaining Tang Dynasty Show.
Day 06: Xi’an (B/L/-)
Today you will be in awe of the famous life size Terracotta Warrior Army and learn how the 6,000 replicas were painstakingly crafted. See the traditional Tang Dynasty era Wild Goose Pagoda.
Day 07: Xi’an – Shanghai (B/L/-)
Admire the Drum and Bell Tower Square, before wandering through the Muslim Quarter and local food market. Relax on your ﬂight to Shanghai, then check in to your hotel for the next three nights.
Day 08: Shanghai (B/L/D)
From the charming Bund, to the old streets of Chenghuang, you will not be disappointed in today’s activities. Admire the panoramic view of Shanghai from the World Financial Centre.
Day 09: Shanghai (B/-/D)
Travel to the Venice of Shanghai, Zhujiajiao, to wander along the bridges shaded by picturesque willow trees. See Shanghai at night from the water on a fantastic Huangpu River cruise.
Day 10: Shanghai – Suzhou – Nanjing (B/L/D)
Travel to the beautiful town of Suzhou, famous for its gardens, silk, and embroidery. In the afternoon transfer to Nanjing by train.
Day 11: Nanjing (B/L/D)
Spend the day exploring the highlights of Nanjing, including the City Wall and Confucius Temple Market.
Day 12: Nanjing – Yangtze River Cruise (B/-/D)
Take the train to Yichang. After dinner you will board your luxury Century Cruise on the magnificent Yangtze River. Depart approximately 9:30pm.
Day 13: Yangtze River Cruise (B/L/D)
Wake up with tai chi and a buffet breakfast. Tour the Three Gorges Tribe* and Three Gorges Dam*. Enjoy a delicious buffet dinner and entertaining Captain’s Welcome Party.
Day 14: Yangtze River Cruise (B/L/D)
Today you can enjoy a shore excursion to Shennv Stream, then cruise through the Wu and Qutang Gorges. Tour the White Emperor City*, then relax for dinner and evening entertainment.
Day 15: Yangtze River Cruise (B/L/D)
After breakfast you can venture on shore to the Shibaozhai Pagoda. In the afternoon be entertained on board, with a spectacular Yangtze Pirate Show after dinner.
Day 16: Yangtze River Cruise – Chongqing – Chengdu (B/L/D)
Enjoy your last breakfast on board before disembarking around 8:30am in Chongqing. Explore the city on a day tour, then transfer to Chengdu by train.
Day 17: Chengdu (B/L/D)
Get up close and personal with the famous Giant Pandas at the Reserve. Return to Chengdu and wander the three distinct alleys in Kuanzhai Alley. Your evening entertainment will leave you amazed!
Day 18: Chengdu – Leshan – Mount Emei (B/L/D)
Drive to Leshan City and see the famous Giant Buddha carved in to the cliff face. Afterwards you will travel to Mount Emei.
Day 19: Mount Emei – Chengdu (B/L/-)
Tour Mount Emei, visit the famous monastery, and explore the beautiful landscape. Return to Chengdu in the afternoon.
Day 20: Chengdu (B/L/-)
Learn about local cuisine at the Sichuan Cuisine Museum with a fantastic cooking demonstration. In the afternoon visit Dujiangyan.
Day 21: Chengdu – Guilin (B/L/-)
Explore the streets of Chengdu in the morning before ﬂying to Guilin.
Day 22: Guilin (B/L/-)
Visit famous Elephant Trunk Hill, and marvel at the beautiful Reed Flute Caves.
Day 23: Guilin – Yangshuo – Guilin (B/L/D)
Take a river cruise to Yangshuo and wander the streets of this market town.
Day 24: Guilin – Kunming (B/-/D)
Fly to Kunming and explore the Western Hill and Dragon Gate. Enjoy a delicious Yunnan style dinner.
Day 25: Kunming (B/L/D)
Travel by coach to the Stone Forest, filled with magnificent jagged limestone formations.
Day 26: Depart Kunming (B/-/-)
Wander through the beautiful Pagodas and Temples before it is time to transfer to the airport for your onward ﬂight.
