The Summer Palace, built in 1750, is located in the western outskirts of Beijing and is the best preserved and largest royal park in China and is a masterpiece of Chinese design in landscape design. The key areas of the park are Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake with both offering natural landscapes of hills and open water, combined with man-made features that include pavilions, halls, palaces, temples and bridges to form a truly wonderful attraction to visit.
