Day 01: Depart Australia (-/-/-)
Board your overnight flight to Seoul. Meal on board.
Day 02: Arrive Seoul (-/-/-)
Arrive at ICN Airport and meet our driver, for your transfer to the Hotel for check in.
Day 03: Seoul – Gongju – Buyeo – Jeonju (B/-/-)
This morning we depart Seoul for Gongju and visit Gongsanseong Fortress, a 2.5 long mountain castle, established during the Baekje Dynasty Period (AD234-678), then move to Buyeo, an ancient capital of the Dynasty. Visit Baekje Cultural Land where you will see a palace, castle, cultural hall, etc. Proceed to Jeonju to visit Jeonju Hanok Village including about 700 traditional Korean houses called Hanok.
Day 04: Suncheon – Yeosu (B/-/-)
Transfer to Suncheon where you will visit Songgwangsa Buddhist Temple and the Suncheonman National Garden, most famous for its vast reed fields, the largest of its kind within the nation. Later, proceed to nearby city Yeosu, a port city and look around the Fish Market, with nearby sightseeing of Industrial Complex night scene. Check into your hotel and enjoy some leisure time.
Day 05: Yeosu – Jinju – Busan (B/-/-)
Today we move to Jinju and see Jinjuseong (Seong means a Castle). The Chokseoknu structure is historically linked to the Japanese invasion. We then proceed to Busan, City Tour from Jagalchi Fishery Market, Korea’s largest seafood market where you will have free time for lunch and wandering around the market. Then proceed to Yongdo Beach and Skywalk, followed by Nampodong Street.
Day 06: Busan – Gyeongju – Andong – Wonju (B/-/-)
Off to Gyeongju today and join a city tour including Bulguksa Guska Temple (UNESCO World Heritage Listed) – the beauty of the temple itself is the stone relics, praised by visitors from all over the world. Move to Andong then visit Hahoe Folk Village which has preserved the housing architecture and the village structure of the Joseon Dynasty. Move to Wonju decorated with the Chiaksan Mountain and the Seom River that circles the area, and was the capital of Gangwon Province for 500 years during the Joseon Dynasty, it maintains a rich tradition and cultural relics.
Day 07: Wonju – Pyeongchang – Gangneung – Mt Seorak – Seoul (B/-/-)
Visit Pyeongchang – the venue of 2018 Winter Olympic Games and enjoy the Ski Jump Lounge’s Monorail Tour. Then move to nearby Gangneung, located between the Eastern sea and the mountain ridge, well-known for wide pine forests, clean sandy beaches and crystal blue sea. Visit Seongyojang Folklore Materials Pavilion (residence of noble class) as a typical mansion of the heir in the late Joseon Dynasty. After a short drive to Sokcho, Mt Seorak National Park, the peaks of the Seoraksan Mountains break through the clouds while jade-like water flows through the valleys, creating breathtaking views and making this Korea’s most famous national park. Due to the many rare species found here, UNESCO designated this national park a Biosphere Preservation District. You may take an optional ride on Cable car to Gwongeumseong fortress, before moving back to Seoul.
Day 08: DMZ (B/L/-)
Transfer to DMZ for a tour including Imgin Park, Freedom Bridge, Unification village (pass by), The 3rd Tunnel (Exhibition-hall), Dora Observatory, Dora Mountain station. After lunch, return to Seoul and enjoy free time and shopping at Hongdae Fashion Street.
Day 09: Seoul City Tour – Depart Seoul (B/-/-)
After breakfast, start your full day tour with Gyeongbok Palace and the Royal Guard Changing Ceremony, and National Folk Museum, (pass by Cheongwadae, Presidential Blue House). Visit the Korean Ginseng Centre and Cosmetic Shop. Transfer to Incheon International Airport for your return flight back to Australia.
