Day 01: Ho Chi Minh City – Ben Tre (-/L/D)
Transfer from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and drive to the Mekong Delta. Upon arrival in Ben Tre, enjoy a tri-motorcycle ride through a local village. Board the Mango Cruise and take in the beautiful Delta scenery. Stop at a coconut processing, brick making shop. From here you will cycle around Phong Nam Village, taking in the local gardens and rice noodle factory. Then enjoy a rowing sampan and explore the maze of small canals, before boarding back on the boat for your five-course lunch. You will then visit a former Viet Cong soldier, to learn about his life and sample the rice paper he makes for his family. Finish the day with a cooking demonstration or swim in the pool. Stay overnight at the Mango Home Riverside.
Day 02: Ben Tre – Cai Be – Tra On (B/L/D)
Enjoy half an hour boating then cycle to My Long Market. Visit Cao Dai Temple and ride back to your accommodation. Check out and drive to Cai Be before boarding Bassac Cruise for lunch and a rest. Cruise quietly through the river traffic, stopping to visit Mang Thit Village and experience local hospitality amongst the orchards and rice fields. Once back on board, enjoy the beautiful sunset with a drink and dinner. Continue cruising along Mang Thit River and stay onboard for the night.
Day 03: Tra On – Can Tho – Chau Doc (B/-/-)
Enjoy breakfast on board while continuing to cruise towards Can Tho City. Transfer to a local boat to tour Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest floating market in the Mekong Delta. Arrive at Ninh Kieu Pier and drive to Sa Dec, known for its beautiful flower gardens and large brick and tile kilns. Walk amongst beautiful old houses from last century and an ancient Chinese Temple. Drive to Chau Doc and check in at the Victoria Chau Doc or similar for two nights stay.
Day 04: Chau Doc (B/-/-)
Visit the floating fishing village on the Mekong River before heading to an ethnic Cham Village, known for weaving. Your will also see the beautiful Mubarak Mosque, gifted by the Egyptian President. Continue to Tra Su Cajuput Forest, renowned for its untouched natural beauty. Explore the Tay An Pagoda, a mix of Asian Architecture that holds more than 100 intricately carved Buddha statues. See the local religious practices in person at Lady Chua Xu Temple in Sam Mountain.
Day 05: Chau Doc – Ho Chi Minh City/Phnom Penh (B/-/-)
After breakfast, drive back to Ho Chi Minh City or take the speedboat to Phnom Penh.
