Day 01: Depart Australia (-/-/-)
Depart on your overnight flight to South Korea.
Day 02: Arrive Jeju (-/-/-)
Arrive at Jeju Airport and meet our driver who will transfer you to the hotel for check in.
Day 03: Jeju (B/L/-)
Explore Cheonjeyeon Falls ‘the Pond of God’ then pick tangerines at the Tangerine Farm. Optional Seogwipo boat ride at an additional cost. Walk along the narrow path of Olle and the shores of Yongmeori Beach. If the beach is closed you will visit the Sanbanggulsa Cave instead. Check in to the Best Western Jeju or similar.
Day 04: Jeju – Busan (B/L/-)
Visit Eco Land Theme Park and enjoy a train ride, then the World Heritage Listed Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. Step back in time at Seongeup Folk Village, where you will explore the culture and history of the area. Home to many Confucian Shrines, the Village is known for its preservation of Korean traditions. If time permits you will also visit the Museum of Natural History and learn about the environment and the importance of preservation. Transfer back to Jeju Airport and fly to Busan, the second largest city in the country where you will check in to the Best Western Haeundae or similar for two nights.
Day 05: Busan (B/L/-)
On your tour of Busan you will visit Jagalchi Fishery Market, Korea’s largest seafood market, and enjoy free time for lunch and exploring. Then travel to Gamcheon Culture Village and Yongdo Beach and Sky Walk, before exploring Nampodong Street.
Day 06: Gyeonju – Andong – Wonju (B/L/-)
After breakfast you will travel to Gyeongju and visit the World Heritage Listed Bulguksa Temple. Then proceed to Andong and immerse yourself in the culture of the Hanoe Folk Village and the architecture from the Joseon Dynasty. To finish the day you will travel to Wonju, the capital of the Gangwon Province, and see the amazing Chiaksan Mountain and Seom River. Wonju maintains its rich traditions and cultural history. Stay overnight in the Wonju Interbulgo Hotel or similar.
Day 07: Wonju – Pyeongchang – Gangneung – Mt Seorak – Seoul (B/L/-)
Travel to the home of the 2018 Winter Olympics, Pyeongchang, where you will be guided by the Ski Jump Lounge’s Monorail Tour. Move to nearby Gangneung, with its clear blue sea, white sandy beaches, and vast pine forests, then explore Seongyojang Folklore Materials Pavilion which depicts nobility during the Joseon Dynasty. View the picturesque scenery of Mt Seorak National Park, Korea’s most famous national park due to its mountains and jade coloured water, as well as being World Heritage Listed due to the rare species of flora and fauna that are found here. Optional cable car ride to Gwonggeumseong. Transfer to Seoul for the evening.
Day 08: DMZ (B/L/-)
Tour the famous Korean Demilitarized Zone, including Imgin Park, the Freedom Bridge, Unification Village, the Third Tunnel Exhibition Hall, Dora Obervatory and Mountain Station. After lunch you will return to Seoul and enjoy free time at Hongdae Fashion Street.
Day 09: Seoul (B/-/-)
After breakfast, enjoy a full day tour including Gyeonbok Palace and the Royal Guard Changing Ceremony, the National Folk Museum, and the Korean Ginseng Centre.
Day 10: Depart Seoul (B/-/-)
After breakfast, spend the last of your time in Seoul exploring at you leisure, before transferring to the airport for your flight home.
Day 11: Arrive Australia (-/-/-)
Arrive home in Australia, reminiscing about your Eastern Experience.
