Day 01: Depart Australia – Arrive Seoul (-/-/-)
Arrive at ICN Airport, your driver will meet and transfer you to your hotel.
Day 02: Seoul – Gongju – Jeonju (B/-/-)
Meet your guide at Dongwha Duty Free Shop (Gwanghwamun Intersection, Seoul) early this morning, then travel to Gongju and explore the UNESCO Listed Tomb of King Muryeong and Gongsanseong Fortress. Continue to Jeonju and visit the Hanok Village, home to 700 traditional Korean Hanok homes. Stay overnight at Ramada Jeonju Hotel or similar.
Day 03: Jeonju – Gwangju – Suncheon – Yeosu – Jinju (B/-/-)
After breakfast, travel to Gwangju, the leading city in the Honam region. Explore the May 18th National Cemetery, then travel to Suncheon. Visit the Suncheon Bay Garden, then travel to the port city of Yeosu and wander through the Fish Market. Take in the night life of Yeosu before travelling to Jinju and checking in to your hotel for the night.
Day 04: Jinju – Busan – Jeju (B/-/-)
Travel to Jinju and see Jinjuseong (Seong means Castle) and Chokseoknu, an edifice linked to the Japanese invasion. Fly from Gimhae Airport to Jeju. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel for the evening.
Day 05: Jeju (B/-/-)
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before a day of sightseeing in beautiful Jeju. Visit the heavenly Cheonjeyeon Falls, the popular Gyulimseong Tangerine Farm, and take a scenic cruise on the Seogwipo Pleasure Boat. Wander through 6000 Camellia trees and walk along Olle. Finish your days tour with a walk along Yongmeori Beach (or Sangbanggulsa Cave if the beach is closed). Enjoy dinner of your own accord before transferring to your hotel.
Day 06: Jeju – Busan (B/L/-)
View one of Jeju Island’s most magical sights, Seopjikoki, and its beautiful coastline of clifftops and deep ocean. Explore the World Heritage Listed Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. Step back in time at Jeju Jaenyeo Museum. If time permits you will explore the Museum of Natural History and learn about the environment and preservation. Lean about jewels at the Korean Jewel Amethyst Store. Fly from Jeju Airport to Busan, where you will be met and taken to check in at your hotel.
Day 07: Busan – Gyeongju – Daegu (B/L/-)
Visit Gyeongju, a museum without walls. Gyeongju was the capital of the Shilla Dynasty for 1000yrs when Julius Caesar was subduing Gaul. It is an area full of significant and fascinating historical heritage. Explore the National Museum, Cheomgseongdae Astronomical Observatory, and Seokguram Grotto. The Bulguksa Temple can’t be missed, it’s beauty and artistry are world renowned. Check in to your hotel for the evening.
Day 08: Daegu – Andong – Mount Sorak (B/L/-)
After breakfast, explore Gayasan National Park. Within the Park is Haeinsa Temple, known for its famous Tripitaka Koreana (over 81,000 printed woodblocks designed to repel the Mongolian Army from invading. Then travel to Andong Hahoe Village and wander through traditional architecture from the Joseon Dynasty. Transfer to Gangneung Value Hotel or similar.
Day 09: Mount Sorak – Seoul (B/-/-)
View the picturesque scenery of Mt Seorak National Park, Korea’s most famous national park due to its mountains and jade coloured water, as well as being World Heritage Listed due to the rare species of flora and fauna that are found here. Optional cable car ride to Gwonggeumseong. Transfer to Seoul for the evening. Today’s tour finishes at the Express Terminal, Gangnam, your guide will assist you with directions to your centrally located hotel.
Day 10: Seoul (B/L/-)
After breakfast, enjoy a half day tour including Gyeonbok Palace and the Royal Guard Changing Ceremony, the National Folk Museum, and the Korean Ginseng Centre. After lunch you will travel to the Korean Folk Village to explore. Return to Seoul late in the day.
Day 11: Depart Seoul (B/-/-)
Enjoy free time in Seoul before transferring to Incheon International Airport for your flight home.
Day 12: Arrive Australia (-/-/-)
Arrive home dreaming of the sights of South Korea!
