The architecture is unique, and many traditional folk villages still exist today. Our Korea Sparkling Tour takes you to all the most interesting and stunning sights, from the capital city Seoul, to the picturesque island of Jeju, and the original Andong Hahoe Village. You will stay in fantastic accommodation, travel in comfort by coach and domestic flights, and experience the wonder of this beautiful country!
Day 01: Arrive Seoul (-/-/-)
Arrive in Seoul. Check in to your hotel for the night. The rest of the day is free at your leisure.
Day 02: Seoul – Gongju – Jeonju (B/-/-)
Transfer to meet your guide in the morning. Then travel to Gongju and explore the Tomb of King Muryeong and Gongsanseong Fortress. Continue to Jeonju and wander through the traditional Hanok Village.
Day 03: Jeonju – Gwangju – Yeosu – Jinju (B/-/-)
After breakfast you will continue to Gwangju, home of modern democracy in Korea. Then continue to Jinju for the night, stopping at Suncheon and the port city of Yeosu along the way.
Day 04: Jinju – Busan – Jeju (B/-/-)
Explore Jinjuseong Fortress, famous for its link to the Japanese invasion. Early afternoon flight to Jeju. You will be met on arrival and escorted to your hotel to check in.
Day 05: Jeju (B/-/-)
Enjoy a day of sightseeing in beautiful Jeju. You will visit all the most spectacular sights, from Cheonjeyeon Falls (also known as the Pond of God) to Yongmeori Beach (weather permitting). Take a scenic boat ride before lunch*.
Day 06: Jeju – Busan (B/-/-)
Visit the stunning area of Seopjikoji and trek the Olle path, then on to World Heritage Listed Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. Learn about history at the museum before flying from Jeju to Busan.
Day 07: Busan – Gyeongju – Daegu (B/-/-)
Today you will explore Gyeongju, a museum without walls. There are numerous World Heritage Listed Sites here. Afterwards you will transfer to Daegu for the night.
Day 08: Daegu – Andong – Mount Seorak (B/-/-)
Marvel at the ancient treasures of Haeinsa Temple, then travel to Andong Hahoe Village and admire the traditional architecture of the still existing village. Transfer to Mount Seorak for the evening.
Day 09: Mount Seorak – Seoul (B/-/-)
Wander through the UNESCO Biosphere Preservation District of Seoraksan National Park, home to rare flora and fauna. Take the cable car to Gwongeumseong Fortress*. Afterwards travel to Seoul and make your own way to the hotel.
Day 10: Seoul (B/L/-)
This morning you will take a tour of Seoul, including Gyeongbokgung Palace, the National Folk Museum, and more. Visit the famous Korean Folk Village.
Day 11: Seoul – DMZ – Seoul (B/L/-)
Tour the famous Korean Demilitarized Zone, the border between North and South Korea. The afternoon is free at your leisure.
Day 12: Depart Seoul (B/-/-)
After breakfast the day is free at your leisure until it is time to transfer to the Airport for your onward flight.
