Day 01: Arrive Vientiane (-/-/-)
You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel for the next two nights.
Day 02: Vientiane (B/L/-)
Spend the day sightseeing in the charming city of Vientiane. See the most popular sights, including the open air museum Wat Xieng Khuan, filled with statues of Buddhist and Hindu Gods. Marvel at the gleaming golden stupa of Pha That Luang, and admire the former royal temple Ho Pha Keo. Your final stop of the day will be the popular morning market, which is open all day long.
Day 03: Vientiane – Vang Vieng (B/L/-)
Travel by road to Vang Vieng, passing through scenic mountains and cliffs. Embark on a relaxing boat ride on the Nam Ngum Lake, and stop at the Talat Fish Market in Huay Mor. Visit the historical Tham Chang Cave, which was used as a bunker in the 19th Century. Check in to your hotel in Vang Vieng for the evening.
Day 04: Vang Vieng – Luang Prabang (B/L/-)
Enjoy the morning at your leisure, before transferring to Luang Prabang. On your journey you will pass through Ban Phatang and Muang Kasi, visiting many local villages on the way. On arrival in Luang Prabang you will check in to your hotel for the next three nights.
Day 05: Luang Prabang (B/L/-)
This morning you will travel to the stunning Kuang Si Waterfall. This multi tiered waterfall cascades over limestone formations in to beautiful turquoise pools. You can swim in the clear water, or explore the natural scenery. Visit a local village and the Bear Sanctuary Rescue Centre, before returning to Luang Prabang. Back in Luang Prabang you will explore some of the many temples and stupas in the city, including Wat Visunalat, and the popular That Makmo, named after its round watermelon like shape. Enjoy a short climb to watch the picturesque sunset over Mount Phousi, then wander through the Talat Night Market.
Day 06: Luang Prabang (B/L/-)
Visit Wat Xieng Thong, the most beautiful monastery in Luang Prabang, depicting traditional local art and preserved religious artifacts. You will then embark on a special excursion to Tham Pak Ou Caves, travelling by boat through the beautiful Mekong River. The limestone caves are filled with thousands of ancient Buddha statues. Afterwards, visit the village of Ban Xang Khong. This village is known for its traditional handwoven cotton and silk, as well as production of local mulberry paper. Return to your hotel for the evening.
Day 07: Depart Luang Prabang (B/-/-)
The day is free at your leisure until it is time to transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
