Set on the banks of the beautiful Savute Channel and Botswana’s Stolen River, Savute Safari Lodge offers discerning guests an exhilarating game experience with its population of bull elephants and resident predator species. The suites, with private decks, boast great views and the main two-storey thatch and timber building houses a sitting area, library and cocktail bar – great for relaxing before or after dinner, which is served outdoors where guests can watch the watering hole. The expansive viewing deck and swimming pool also offer game viewing opportunities, particularly of the resident elephants, as well as the twice-daily game drives through the Savute area including to the famous marsh. Guests can also look forward to viewing the ancient San rock paintings at Gubatsa Hills. The second biggest African zebra migration, and accompanying predators, occurs in this region annually. Access to the lodge is via charter flight from Maun International Airport.
