Day 01: Johannesburg – Windhoek (-/-/-)
Midday departure from Johannesburg for Windhoek. On arrival transfer to AVANI Windhoek Hotel or similar for overnight stay.
Day 02: Windhoek – Namib Desert (B/-/D)
Depart Windhoek around lunchtime, and travel south, via the scenic Spreetshoogte Pass and Solitaire into the Namib Desert the oldest and driest desert on earth. Overnight at Namib Naukluft Lodge or similar.
Day 03: Namib Desert (B/-/D)
Enter the Namib Naukluft Park at sunrise and watch the first sunlight turn the dune desert into a picture of stark and almost extra-terrestrial beauty. Travel down the Tsauchab River Valley to the famous Sossusvlei, a clay-bottom pan surrounded by some of the highest sand dunes in the world. Enjoy a picnic lunch under age-old Camelthorn trees before returning to the lodge via the Sesriem Canyon with it’s fascinating rock formations. Sundowner drive to Marble Mountain.
Day 04: Namib – Windhoek (B/-/-)
After breakfast travel back to Windhoek via the Remshoogte Pass arriving mid-afternoon at AVANI Windhoek Hotel or similar for overnight stay.
Day 05: Windhoek – Johannesburg (-/-/-)
Morning at leisure before departing midday for the return flight to Johannesburg.
