Day 01: Australia – Ho Chi Minh City (-/-/-)
Board your overnight flight to Ho Chi Minh city. Meal on board.
Day 02: Ho Chi Minh City (-/-/-)
Arrival Xin Chao! Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. You are greeted by your guide and driver at Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your transfer to the hotel. You will have time to relax at your hotel and adjust to the pace of Ho Chi Minh City. Check in at the Muong Thanh Ho Chi Minh City Centre for 2 nights.
Day 03: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels – Ho Chi Minh City (B/-/-)
Today explore the famous Cu Chi Tunnels where more than 200kms of tunnels were built by the Communist guerrillas during the war, you will spend the next hour exploring the maze of tunnels to see how the Viet Cong survived in this underground network. Return to Ho Chi Minh city and visit the War Remnants Museum, the Reunification Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Ho Chi Minh City Central Post Office.
Day 04: Ho Chi Minh City – Ben Tre – Can Tho (B/L/-)
Head south to Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta. Upon arrival, set out on a boat trip up narrow channels winding through the coconut forest. Stop processing workshops to see how locals make bricks by hand and have a chance to jump on your bike, cycle on village roads through local hamlets, rice fields and coconut groves. Continue to drive to Can Tho for an overnight stay at Muong Thanh Luxury Can Tho.
Day 05: Can Tho – Ho Chi Minh City (B/-/-)
Step onboard a boat to visit Cai Rang floating market. Take in the daily activities of the locals who live along the Mekong canals. Binh Thuy Ancient House is a well-preserved, charismatic house with both French and Vietnamese design features. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City for overnight stay.
Day 06: Ho Chi Minh City – Cat Tien National Park (B/L/D)
Drive to Cat Tien National Park in the morning. After lunch, visit Dao Tien Endangered Primate Species Centre, specialises in the rescue, rehabilitation and release of endangered primates naturally found in the area: golden- cheeked gibbons, black-shanked douc, silvered langur and pygmy loris. If you like mammals, the Bear Rescue Station is worth a visit. It is a rehabilitation centre for Sun bears, Asian black bears, crocodiles and peafowl. Joining the night safari you will have the opportunity to see the natural activities of many grassland animals as they forage for food. Overnight at Cat Tien National Park’s Guesthouse.
Day 07: Cat Tien National Park – Dalat (B/L/-)
After breakfast enjoy a 5km walk to Crocodile Lake through the jungle. En route you may have a chance to encounter wild animals. Take a rest at the watchtower overlooking the lake before walking back to the starting point. After check out and lunch, drive to Da Lat, the “city of spring”, famous for its lakes, waterfalls, pine-tree forests, vegetable gardens and flowers. Overnight stay at TTC Premier Ngoc Lan Da Lat.
Day 08: Dalat (B/-/-)
Da Lat Railway Station is a unique work of architecture combining European style. Optional ride on the restored locomotive train to Trai Mat. Visit Linh Phuoc Pagoda, a unique example of one of Vietnam’s fantasyland glass-and- ceramic mosaic structures. Visit Emperor Bao Dai’s Summer Palace which is used for the last Emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty. End the day at Da Lat Market, where you will be seduced with brightly coloured flowers as well as a wide variety of fresh vegetables and mouthwatering fruits.
Day 09: Dalat – Nha Trang (B/-/-)
Drive downhill to the coastal city of Nha Trang. This afternoon is free at leisure in your hotel or on the beach: swimming, sunbathing, strolling around the city or tasting the fresh seafood. Check into Rosaka Nha Trang for 2 nights stay.
Day 10: Nha Trang (B/L/-)
We leisurely cruise through blue clear waters amongst the islands off Nha Trang. You make an excursion by local boat exploring nearby islands for a cooling swim in the pristine waters, snorkelling from the boat or enjoying a beach sojourn in the shade of coconut palms. A fresh seafood lunch is also available on the boat.
Day 11: Nha Trang – Ho Chi Minh City- Australia (B/-/-)
The day is free at your leisure until transfer to Cam Ranh International Airport in time for your departure flight via Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 12: Arrive Australia (-/-/-)
Arrive home in the morning.
