Kerala is the southwestern state of India, also known as the Spice Lands. This area is famous for both the quality and quantity of the vibrant fragrant spices produced here. While exploring the Spice Lands of Kerala you will venture through the lush paddy fields, across waterways, and backwaters. Learn about the areas rich history, seeing Palaces, Churches, and other historical buildings. Taste delicious local meals and learn how to replicate them at home (using the local spices of course!). Travel overnight on the backwaters of Kerala, on a houseboat experience you will never forget.

Day 01: Arrive Kochi (-/-/-)

You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at your leisure to explore Kochi.

Day 02: Kochi (B/L/-)

Spend the morning exploring Kochi, including Mattancherry, the Dutch Palace, and famous Chinese fishing nets. Enjoy lunch at a stunning waterfront eatery. In the evening be enthralled by a traditional Kathakali dance performance.

Day 03: Kochi – Alleppey (B/L/D)

Take the journey to Alleppey and embark on your overnight houseboat journey through the backwaters of Kerala. Pass through beautiful canals and admire the scenery.

Day 04: Alleppey – Kumarakom (B/-/-)

Wake up on the water and enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Disembark in Kumarakom and wander through the villages, backwaters, and fields at your own pace.

Day 05: Kumarakom (B/-/-)                                                  

The day is free for you to continue to explore Kumarakom at your leisure.

Day 06: Kumarakom – Thekkady (B/-/D)

Continue to Thekkady and check in to your hotel for the night. Visit the vibrant Spice Plantation and Spice Market. Enjoy an interactive cooking demonstration in the evening.

Day 07: Thekkady – Depart Kochi (B/-/-)

Enjoy a final breakfast and explore Thekkady at your leisure, until it is time to transfer to Kochi for your onward flight.
