Day 01: Arrive Taipei (-/-/-)

Upon arrival at Taoyuan International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day will be free. Stay overnight at Golden China Hotel Taipei or similar.

Day 02: Taipei – Keelung – Yehliu – Taipei (B/-/-)

After breakfast you will travel to Keelung to visit Chung Ching Park. Here you can view the huge statue of the Goddess of Mercy and enjoy the panoramic view of the Harbour. Then continue to Yehliu, which is famous for its numerous rock formations, resembling a Queen’s head, Fairy Shoe and the Lover’s Rock. Return to Taipei around 12 noon for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon tour of Taipei City, which includes the impressive C.K.S. Memorial Hall, the National Palace Museum where 5,000 years of Chinese Imperial arts and jade collections are exhibited, Martyrs’ Shrine of traditional architecture, and Taipei Handicraft Centre.

Day 03: Taipei – Puli – Sun Moon Lake (B/-/-)

Your morning tour will take you to central Taiwan, visiting Puli Town, the cultural and artistic heaven. Afterwards, we will proceed to famous Sun Moon Lake, which is situated 762 meters above sea level in the lofty mountains of Central Taiwan. Visit the famous Wen Wu Temple or Literature Warrior Temple dedicated to Confucius as Master of Pen and to Kuan Ti as Master of Sword, Itathao Village, Tse-En Pagoda, and Holy Monk Shrine. Then transfer to your hotel Del Lago Sun Moon Lake or similar, for an overnight stay.

Day 04: Sun Moon Lake – Lukang – Kaohsiung (B/-/-)

Proceed to Lukang, travelling along the freeway. The Lukang village, located approximately 180 kilometres south of Taipei, is known as a centre of arts and handicrafts, particularly wooden and bamboo items. In earlier years, the city was the site of magnificent homes and temples of uniquely Taiwanese architecture. Some of these structures still exist today. Then move on to Kaohsiung City by bus or train for our overnight stay at Chateau de Chine Hotel Kaohsiung or similar.

Day 05: Kaohsiung – Kenting – Kaohsiung (B/-/-)

After breakfast travel to to Kenting National Park, which is located at Taiwan’s southern tip. There you can admire the 37 miles of coral-rimmed shoreline that runs along three sides of the park. Stop at Oluanpi Lighthouse, Maopitou Coastal Scenic Area, and Kenting Forest Recreation Area. Return to Kaohsiung City for the night.

Day 06: Kaohsiung – Taipei (B/-/-)

Today you will visit the second largest city in Taiwan, Kaohsiung City. Your first stop will be Cheng Ching Lake. There are many attractions here, as it is the largest lake in Kaohsiung County. A major attraction at the lake is the stately Restoration Pagoda. The lake also has islands and bridges, towers and pavilions, boating and aquariums, tree-lined paths, and a nine-corner bridge. We will then proceed to visit another famous place, the “Spring & Autumn Pavilions”. From here you can find the seven-tiered Dragon and Tiger Pagodas standing in the water of Lotus Lake at Tzuoying. A nine-cornered bridge links the Pagodas to the shore. After the city tour, transfer to Taipei Golden China Hotel or similar.

Day 07: Depart Taipei (B/-/-)

Enjoy the day at your leisure until it is time for you to transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
