Expect a foodies tour with cooking demos as you get to know the art of cooking an Indian Cuisine. Visit major tourist attraction of all the cities which would include many palaces, forts, The Taj Mahal and other heritage sites. The tour is sure to leave you rejoiced with the pleasurable stay in a houseboat in Alleppey, enjoying tranquility and soothing effects of the backwaters while you learn to cook the favourite local fish ‘Karimeen’ also known as the black pearl.
Day 01: Depart Australia – Arrive Delhi (-/-/-)
Fly to Delhi. On arrival, meet our executive at the arrival lounge and you will be assisted with a transfer to your Hotel for check-in.
Day 02: Delhi (B/L/D)
Morning visit Old City of ‘Shahjahanabad, drive through the vibrant, bustling old quarter of the city and the Red Fort. Old Delhi’s famous for its food, but also daily life in this colourful and chaotic part of the city. Take ‘rickshaws’ (cycle) ride to Khari Baoli spice market then back to Chandni Chowk and walk through to visit Paranthe Wali Galli (Lane of Parathas) and a famous jalebi stall. Stop for lunch at Old Delhi’s most enduring restaurant Karim’s. Next visit Jama Masjid. We complete the day with a delicious spread of authentic dinner as we welcome you on our tour.
Day 03: Delhi (B/-/D)
Morning tour of New Delhi. Drive through Lutyens’ New Delhi, starting with Connaught Place, Rashtrapati Bhawan, as well as Delhi’s landmark structure, India Gate. Visit the magnificent tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun. Visit the Qutab Minar and its Monuments of which are another UNESCO World Heritage site. Later in the evening get ready to enjoy this century’s most novel tourist attraction. Kingdom of Dreams show!
Day 04: Delhi – Agra (B/-/D)
After breakfast travel to Agra. On arrival check-in and visit Itima-udDaulah and Agra Fort. Later visit Taj Mahal and watch the sun set over this marble spectacle. Enjoy live music with dinner at Paatra offering cuisine from Amritsar to Lahore.
Day 05: Agra – Jaipur (B/L/D)
Drive to Jaipur, en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri, an outstanding example of Mughal architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Stop at Laxmi Vilas Palace Bharatpur for lunch before travelling to Jaipur famous for its colour, lifestyle and Rajasthani cuisine. It is a city exuding royal heritage and extravagant richness. Afternoon is free to relax. In the evening enjoy village culture with an ethnic dining experience which oozes flavour!
Day 06: Jaipur (B/-/D)
A guided visit of Amber Fort, The most enthralling experience of this fort is the gaily decorated elephants. Photo stop at – The Palace Of The Wind. Afternoon enjoy Jaipur City including City Palace Museum and Jantar Mantar; one of the famed observatories (of the heavens) which provides accurate information to this day. During the sightseeing, the girls can get themselves painted with the naturally coloured Henna in the traditional floral motifs. A brief stop to see the collection of Rajput turbans before we enjoy a Rajasthani style dinner at Spice Court tonight.
Day 07: Jaipur – Mumbai (B/-/D)
Fly to Mumbai. Afternoon free to relax and evening enjoy dinner with Kebabs & Curries at ITC Grand offering great selections of food from the kitchen of Lucknow Nawabs to Nizam of Hyderabad.
Day 08: Mumbai (B/-/D)
Enjoy city tour of Mumbai visiting the gateway of India, Mumbai’s most famous monument and the starting point for most tourists interested in exploring the city. Also visit the Dhobi Ghat. Visit Elephanta caves on Gharapuri Island by ferry. This evening we enjoy a local dinner at the famous Diva Maharashtracha, which is a popular meeting spot for some Bollywood stars!!
Day 9: Mumbai – Cochin (B/-/D)
Free at your leisure until a transfer to the airport for your flight to Cochin. Witness a Kathakali dance show at a local theatre this evening, before enjoying your seafood dinner at The Rice Boat at Vivanta by Taj offering authentic Kettuvallam ambience as well as delicious Malabar cuisine.
Day 10: Cochin – Private Kerala Houseboat (B/L/D)
Transfer to board your comfortably furnished private, and traditional, houseboat in Alleppey. Relax and cruise through a splendid waterways, canals, lakes and coves. Your traditional home cooked lunch, dinner and breakfast will be served on board by your private crew while you kick back and relax onboard.
Day 11: Cochin (B/-/D)
Disembark after breakfast and enjoy the city which was an entry point for the European, Portuguese, Dutch and the British who ruled here until the 19th century. Visit the Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church and Mattancherry Palace. Enjoy dinner later in the evening.
Day 12: Depart Cochin (B/-/-)
Free at your leisure, enjoy hotel facility and late check out at your hotel before transferring to the airport to board your flight home.
