Day 01: Depart Australia – Arrive Hanoi (-/-/-)
Morning flight to Hanoi. You will be met on arrival and transferred to check in at The Ann Hanoi Hotel or similar for two nights stay.
Day 02: Hanoi (B/-/D)
After breakfast, spend the full day exploring the capital of Vietnam and its rich culture. A fusion of Vietnamese, Chinese, and French, Hanoi is one of the most ancient capitals in the world. Take a leisurely stroll around the Temple of Literature; the stilt houses and gardens of the One Pillar Pagoda; the HCM Mausoleum; and the Museum of Vietnamese Women. Enjoy a traditional trishaw ride through the hustle and bustle of the city centre and walk through the famous streets of the Old Quarter. Spend time shopping, then enjoy your delicious Welcome Dinner.
Day 03: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L/D)
After breakfast at the hotel, travel to the World Heritage Listed Halong Bay and check embark on your Halong Bhaya Classic Cruise. Cruise around the islets, caves, and grottos of Halong Bay, enjoying fresh seafood, swimming, and fishing. Spend the night onboard the cruise ship.
Day 04: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Hue (B/L/-)
Continue your cruise and enjoy an early lunch before disembarking. Drive back to Hanoi to catch your flight to Hue. If time permits you can stop at the Old Quarter for shopping. Upon arrival in Hue, check in to the Eldora Hotel Hue or similar.
Day 05: Hue – Danang – Hoi An (B/-/-)
Tour Hue City and visit the Imperial Citadel and Dong Ba Market. Take the scenic Hai Van Pass drive to Hoi An. Enjoy a stroll on the beautiful Lang Co Beach and stop in Danang to see the Cham Museum and its fine artworks, as well as climb the Marble Mountains. Once you arrive in Hoi An late in the afternoon, check in to the Vinh Hung Riverside Resort & Spa or similar for two nights. Spend the rest of the aft ernoon at your leisure, perhaps visiting a local tailor to have high quality clothing made overnight.
Day 06: Hoi An (B/-/-)
Take a bicycle ride to Thanh Dong Organic Farm, the first and only organic farm in Hoi An. At the farm you will experience daily farm life and the benefits of organic farming. Enjoy a bamboo boat ride followed by a cooking class and organic lunch. Spend the afternoon at your leisure, exploring Hoi An.
Day 07: Hoi An – Ho Chi Minh City (B/-/-)
Transfer to the airport in the morning to take a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival you will be met by your local guide and tour the city. Visit the War Remand Museum, Notre Dame, Post Off ice Centre, and People’s Committee Hall. Explore the Ben Thanh Market then be entertained by a unique water puppet show. Check in to the Muong Thanh Saigon Centre Hotel or similar for two nights.
Day 08: Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be (B/L/D)
After breakfast, explore Binh Tay Market in China Town. Boat along the river in Cai Be, where you will cruise quietly through the river traff ic and watch the locals popping rice and corn, as well as making coconut candy. Travel by Sampan through the small canals and experience local hospitality amongst the orchards, with local fruit and traditional music. Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City and feast at a Farewell Dinner Cruise on the Saigon River.
Day 09: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels – Depart Ho Chi Minh City (B/-/-)
After breakfast, visit the Cu Chi Tunnels (70km from Ho Chi Minh City), the former stronghold of the Viet Cong. The network of tunnels stretch for over 200km and three levels underground. Transfer to the airport to board your flight home.
Day 10: Arrive Australia (-/-/-)
