Day 01: Arrive Hanoi (-/-/-)
On arrival you will transfer to your hotel and enjoy a unique Water Puppet Show depicting Vietnamese Folk Art dating back to the 11th Century (dependent on your arrival time).
Day 02: Hanoi (B/L/D)
Spend the day exploring Hanoi on a full day tour. You will visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the iconic One Pillar Pagoda, and the Temple of Literature. The famous Hanoi Hilton (Hoa Lo Prison) is another place you will stop at to learn about Vietnam’s history.
Day 03: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L/D)
Travel to Halong Bay and embark on your unforgettable overnight cruise. Float amongst traditional ﬂoating villages and admire the beautiful scenery. You will see locals fishing offshore, and have the opportunity to explore magnificent caves, walk along the beach, or admire a panoramic view of the stunning bay.
Day 04: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Hoi An (B/L/-)
Continue your cruise on the magnificent Bay. After an early lunch you will transfer back to Hanoi and take a short ﬂight to Hoi An. Check in to your hotel for the next three nights.
Day 05: Hoi An (B/-/D)
Take a morning walking tour, visit the home of an old merchant, the 400yr old Japanese Covered Bridge, Cultural Museum, and other highlights. Wander through Hoi An’s first and only organic farm*.
Day 06: Hoi An (B/-/-)
After a delicious breakfast, the day is yours to explore Hoi An at your own leisure.
Day 07: Hoi An – Ho Chi Minh (B/L/-)
Fly to Ho Chi Minh and transfer to your hotel before enjoying a tour of the city. Study history at the Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum, which displays countless artefacts from Vietnam’s history. Visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, built mostly from materials imported from France in the 1800’s. It is a popular attraction in the city.
Day 08: Ho Chi Minh – Mekong (B/L/-)
Travel south to Cai Thia and take a tuk tuk through the Mekong Delta. You will travel through local hamlets and rice fields. Visit a farmer’s house and learn how to make local cake. Enjoy a cruise on the mighty Mekong River with lunch on board your boat. Visit local workshops, and check in to your homestay for the night.
Day 09: Mekong – Ho Chi Minh (B/L/-)
Visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, the former stronghold of the Viet Cong. The Tunnels played a signifcant part in Vietnam’s history during the war. Continue to Tay Ninh and wander through the Cao Dai Holy See Temple before returning to Ho Chi Minh.
Day 10: Depart Ho Chi Minh (B/-/-)
Your last morning is free at your leisure until it is time to transfer to the airport for your onward ﬂight.
